Standard A440 tuning for a piano that has been tuned within the last year. This is the foundation of piano care — keeping your instrument in pitch and stable between visits. Every tuning includes a free walkthrough of your piano's current condition.

If your piano hasn't been tuned in more than a year and is significantly sharp or flat, it needs a pitch raise before fine tuning is possible. We bring the entire instrument up (or down) to standard pitch, then schedule a fine-tuning one to two weeks later — giving the strings time to settle and stretch before the final pass.

All repairs begin with a free consultation. We diagnose the issue honestly and discuss all costs before any work begins. Sticking keys, broken strings, worn action parts, rattles, pedal issues — we've seen it all. Extra fees may apply for parts, and we never proceed without your approval.

Over time, dust and debris accumulate inside the piano and can settle into the action, affecting tone and playability. Our cleaning package is a thorough, careful clean of every accessible part — restoring your piano's appearance and ensuring nothing interferes with its mechanics.

The entry point for restoring proper action response — handled entirely in your home, no removal needed. This addresses the most common touch and feel complaints: sticky or sluggish keys, uneven hammer alignment, and loose hardware throughout the action.

A complete, precision regulation of every note's touch and response — the level of work that returns a piano to true factory-spec playability. This requires the action to be removed and brought to the shop, where every one of the 88 notes is individually measured and adjusted, often through multiple passes.

For pianos where parts have worn beyond what regulation alone can correct. A rebuild replaces the components that regulation depends on — bringing a tired or aging action back to like-new condition. Often performed on heirloom pianos, church instruments, or any piano worth preserving long-term. Final pricing depends on how many parts need replacement, always quoted after a free in-person assessment.

Voicing shapes the tonal character of your piano by adjusting the density and texture of the hammer felt. If certain notes or the entire piano sounds harsh and bright, or dull and too soft, voicing brings everything into balance. The goal is a consistent, musical tone across the full keyboard that suits your room and playing style.

In extreme cases, a piano is considered beyond restoration — totaled, much like a car. When this happens, professional removal is the safest option. Pianos are extremely heavy and contain hazardous materials that require careful handling. We remove the instrument responsibly. South Carolina's humidity swings are one of the greatest threats to your piano's tuning stability and longevity. This system stabilizes the internal environment year-round, automatically. A professional appraisal from a Certified Piano Technician gives you an honest, documented answer — covering the instrument's condition, fair market value, and an estimate of any repairs needed to bring it to playing condition.

If your piano has been damaged by a flood, burst pipe, fire, smoke, or storm, your insurance company will likely send a general furniture adjuster who doesn't understand pianos — a piano has over 10,000 moving parts and cannot be evaluated like a dresser or a sofa. We provide a piano-specific damage report that documents the true scope of repair needed and the instrument's pre-loss value, giving you documentation your insurance company can actually act on.

We offer special package pricing for institutions with four or more pianos — including churches, schools, colleges, and performance venues. Contracts include two annual tunings per instrument, priority scheduling throughout the year, and minor repairs as needed.
