Who We Serve in Abbeville
Every piano in Abbeville
has a story worth keeping.
Abbeville is one of Upstate South Carolina's most historically rich communities — and its pianos reflect that depth. From the Opera House to the antebellum homes of the historic district, instruments here carry real weight.
I · Abbeville Opera House
Performance & Event Pianos
The Abbeville Opera House is one of South Carolina's great cultural landmarks. Instruments used in performance contexts require precise tuning and regular maintenance. Davis offers pre-performance tuning and institutional service agreements for venues and organizations.
II · Historic District
Heirloom & Estate Pianos
Abbeville's antebellum homes and historic district properties often contain pianos that have been in families for generations. Davis provides honest appraisals, careful tunings, and candid advice on whether restoration makes sense or whether it's time to let an instrument go.
III · Houses of Worship
Church Pianos
Abbeville's churches — many of them historic in their own right — rely on instruments that hold up week after week. Davis serves congregations throughout the area with regular tuning schedules and humidity system installations.
IV · Private Residences
Home Instruments
Whether you've recently moved a piano into a new home or simply realized it's been too long since the last tuning, Davis comes to you. No shop drop-off required for tuning, regulation assessments, or humidity consultations.
A Note on Abbeville
Where history and music meet.
Abbeville calls itself the birthplace and deathplace of the Confederacy — a distinction that speaks to its deep historical identity. But beyond Civil War lore, Abbeville has long been a community that values the performing arts. The Opera House, which has operated continuously since 1908, is a testament to that commitment.
The pianos in Abbeville's homes and churches carry that same sense of history. Many have been in families for three or four generations. Others have accompanied decades of Sunday worship. All of them deserve the same care that a concert instrument would receive.
Davis Moore serves Abbeville and the surrounding county on a regular rotation, treating every instrument with the respect its history warrants.

What a visit covers
All services are performed in-home unless otherwise noted. Davis will let you know what the piano needs before any work begins.
South Carolina humidity is hard on pianos.
The Upstate SC climate brings humid summers and drier winters — seasonal swings that cause soundboards and bridges to swell and contract, threatening tuning stability and long-term structure. A Dampp-Chaser Piano Life Saver system eliminates that variable entirely.
