About This Instrument

A name that defined
American piano making.

Baldwin has been one of the most respected names in American piano manufacturing since 1862. Founded in Cincinnati by Dwight Hamilton Baldwin, the company built its reputation on instruments of exceptional quality — earning gold medals at the Paris Expositions of 1900 and the trust of concert pianists, music schools, and discerning home players for generations.

The Acrosonic line became Baldwin's signature console piano — praised for its warm, full tone that belied its compact size. The Acrosonic Elite, produced in the late 1980s, represents the mature expression of that legacy: an American-made instrument built before the brand's ownership changed hands and production moved overseas. Instruments from this era are widely regarded as among the finest American uprights ever built.

This particular piano — serial number 1458471, manufactured in 1989 — has been fully evaluated, restored, and prepared for its next owner by Davis Moore, CPT, a Certified Piano Technician and member of the Piano Technicians Guild.
